The “We Cry Out” benefit concert began as a response to the murder of Johan Sebastian Guerrero at the hands of ICE. Tickets were by donation, and raised over $3800 for the Guerrero Family GoFundMe and Project Relief.

The original concert was organized by members of Biddeford-area folk bands: Sparrow, Duquette, An Overnight Low, and Joe Sweeney. It was held in Biddeford at Sacred Profane Brewery and also featured Delilah Poupore, Katie From Band as well as local poets and writers.

The 2nd edition of We Cry Out will be held at Blue Portland Maine on September 7 at 6pm and include most of the original lineup, in addition to Namory Keita and Ylli Brekofca. All funds raised for this edition of We Cry Out will be donated to Presente! Maine to further their mission.
